4 Reasons why you should read The Hunger Games:
1. For some reason, most English classes have a unit dedicated to utopias/dystopias (at least in my experiences). Not that I’m an expert, but The Hunger Games trilogy puts a new twist on the dystopian society.
2. The books never cease to have crazy twists that keep you hooked. I’m definitely a fan of not knowing what to expect. Collins has an uncanny ability to wow the reader every time.
3. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, the movie will be coming out on March 23rd. The movie stars Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen. She was nominated for Best Actress in the 2011 Oscars. Plus, I have a good feeling the movie will stay pretty true to the books.
4. Other actors include Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, and Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark. Plus Liam Hemsworth isn’t bad to look at either.
